THIS EVENT WAS RAINED OUT AND BECAME A FAMILY GET TOGETHER ONLY.  VALETTA SOUNDED UPBEAT ABOUT THAT, BUT I COULD TELL SHE WAS DISAPPOINTED.  UPDATE ON NOVEMBER 6, 2013.

Mark your calendars for Saturday, October 12, 2013

The X-Man Foundation presents its third annual benefit walk.  The walk begins at the corner of 10th and North in Milwaukee, WI. 53206.  The hours are between 1 p.m. and 4 p.m.

The X-Man Rally against Distracted Driving falls on or near the anniversary of that one second that took X-man’s future into the restricted zone and we are asking for your participation in order to lift some of these restrictions.  Your donations go to the care of Xzavier Davis-Bilbo and to promote his family’s campaign against Distracted Driving with an emphasis on texting.

T-shirts, motorcycle patches, and red X pins will be available at the Benefit Rally and are available on-line by request for a donation.

You can also donate in person at any Educator’s Credit Union nationwide.  Make sure you are donating to the X-Man Foundation in care of Valetta Bradford.

As always we appreciate your support and your attention to the road.   God Bless.

Valetta Bradford, Xzavier Davis-Bilbo, and Aurie Parris on the red carpet of the premiere of 'From One Second to the Next'

Valetta Bradford is so put together.  She makes it look so easy like they just stopped in at the News Station to tell their story.  Like she hasn’t pulled herself out of hell to get an important message to you about life or death consequences in regards to this texting and driving insistence.

She always dresses her son so well and he is a handsome young man.  Xzavier Davis-Bilbo is only eight years old in this interview

Xzavier Davis-Bilbo meets girls at the airport on his way to the red carpet premiere of 'From One Second to the Next' by acclaimed director Werner Herzog.

It’s hard to believe X, they call him X, is just in the third grade.  Someone asked Valetta about his weight on Facebook and she said 155 lbs at age eight.

My grandson and his friends are really impressed by this.  My grandson plays Little League football and he wants to be a linebacker.

Xzavier had this same dream.  He started watching the Green Bay Packers when he was just a baby.  When other mothers were sitting their babies in front of Sesame Street, Valetta was sitting her baby X,  in front of the Green Bay Packers and it was love at first sight.

the Green Bay Packers is Xzavier Davis-Bilbo's favorite football team.

By the time he was four, he could call plays.

Then in one second all that was gone.  Xzavier’s future was taken by force into the restricted zone.

So yeah, Valetta makes this look easy but there is nothing easy about it.  Valetta has no choice but to go to a school and/or a college or anywhere where someone will listen to her campaign because this insanity has to end and there’s no use sitting around and moping about what could have been.

Xzavier Davis-Bilbo wears mask to the first day of school. He's paralyzed and going into the third grade.

Xzavier has no choice but to be brave.  He’s very brave.  And because of his strong mother he is on the front lines of this thing that is killing us.  Xzavier survived for a reason.  We still have you X-Man.

Valetta is working towards getting a sponsorship for her campaign against Distracted Driving from the Green Bay Packers, this would make Xzavier’s day, and in the meantime she speaks at high schools and colleges.  She makes this look easy but nothing about this that has been easy.

Werner Herzog directed the documentary ‘From One Second to the Next’ and the major phone companies sponsored Valetta Bradford and her family with X-man’s super nurse out to Hollywood for the red carpet premiere.

They were wined and dined in true Hollywood style.  They stayed at the London Hotel and X-man really enjoyed the room service.

But the family has come back to the little modest home in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.  They still live next to that dreadful corner that changed their entire lives.

And they still have to live with the consequences of that woman who decided that watching for pedestrians was something she couldn’t concern herself with.

So I am asking you to help change things for this family.  Valetta is set up with a PayPal account via her personal email and you can go to her facebook page and tell her you would like to make a donation.

We are all so happy down here in Texas that X and his mom are getting the attention their message merits.

It’s not always a pretty story but if you look closer you will see that it is one of the most beautiful stories.  X is eight.   The innocence of this child shines through.  He and his mom care about you.  So they go out of their way to show you the way.  Stop distractive driving and save the innocent.  ‘It can wait, It can wait, It can wait, It can wait.’

It’s almost time,

Valetta Bradford is a spokeswoman against Distracted Driving.  Her son was paralyzed by a distracted drivier.  He also lost his left lung.  So now instead of Valetta having  a normal life, well, you can imagine how much this one event changed her life.  And she cares about you.

When she is not taking care of Xzavier’s daily living needs she is speaking locally at schools and other events so this will not happen to your kid.

This is important.

She has been invited to a red carpet premiere in Hollywood with her son Xzavier and daugher Aurie along with Xzavier’s nurse for the documentary against Distracted Driving by Werner Herzog.

You may donate to Xzavier’s on-gong care by contacting her directly through Facebook;

http://facebook.com/valettabradford

Let her know you want to donate,  she is set up with PayPal through her personal email.

You may also donate in person through any Educator’s Credit Union nationwide.

Stay tuned to see X wheel down the red carpet.

Xzavier and his mom Valetta Bradford made a documentary against distracted driving.

This is a big deal for X.   He has a sharp mind and he is an excellent speller.  He goes to school and Valetta tries to provide as much normalcy as she can in his life despite that a respiratory and wheelchair are necessary parts of their existence now.  Xzavier requires a nurse, Super Nurse as she is known, and she is going to the premiere as well.

When X was a baby, Valetta would park him in front of the television to watch the Greenbay Packers.  That’s his favorite team.

Down here in Texas,  we cheer for the Cowboys.  We also really like UT.

Nowadays Xzavier plays games.  ‘Games, it’s always games with Xzavier’.

You can donate to the on-going care of Xzavier and if you know of any football teams that want to sponsor the campaign against Distracted Driving,  Valetta is a spokeswoman and she is available for travel.  When it comes to speaking against Distracted Driving,  she is there.

And if you would like to send Xzavier a Nintendo with that game Banjo and Kazooie,  that’s what I would get him if I was a rich lady,  but that Lady down in Texas lives on disability.

Valetta has a Post Office Box.  If you wish to send a care package or donate some money go to the facebook page for Valetta and tell her;

You have to tell her.  She’s not a mind reader but she does have Super Mom powers.
