Valetta Bradford, Xzavier Davis-Bilbo, and Aurie Parris on the red carpet of the premiere of 'From One Second to the Next'

Valetta Bradford is so put together.  She makes it look so easy like they just stopped in at the News Station to tell their story.  Like she hasn’t pulled herself out of hell to get an important message to you about life or death consequences in regards to this texting and driving insistence.

She always dresses her son so well and he is a handsome young man.  Xzavier Davis-Bilbo is only eight years old in this interview

Xzavier Davis-Bilbo meets girls at the airport on his way to the red carpet premiere of 'From One Second to the Next' by acclaimed director Werner Herzog.

It’s hard to believe X, they call him X, is just in the third grade.  Someone asked Valetta about his weight on Facebook and she said 155 lbs at age eight.

My grandson and his friends are really impressed by this.  My grandson plays Little League football and he wants to be a linebacker.

Xzavier had this same dream.  He started watching the Green Bay Packers when he was just a baby.  When other mothers were sitting their babies in front of Sesame Street, Valetta was sitting her baby X,  in front of the Green Bay Packers and it was love at first sight.

the Green Bay Packers is Xzavier Davis-Bilbo's favorite football team.

By the time he was four, he could call plays.

Then in one second all that was gone.  Xzavier’s future was taken by force into the restricted zone.

So yeah, Valetta makes this look easy but there is nothing easy about it.  Valetta has no choice but to go to a school and/or a college or anywhere where someone will listen to her campaign because this insanity has to end and there’s no use sitting around and moping about what could have been.

Xzavier Davis-Bilbo wears mask to the first day of school. He's paralyzed and going into the third grade.

Xzavier has no choice but to be brave.  He’s very brave.  And because of his strong mother he is on the front lines of this thing that is killing us.  Xzavier survived for a reason.  We still have you X-Man.

Valetta is working towards getting a sponsorship for her campaign against Distracted Driving from the Green Bay Packers, this would make Xzavier’s day, and in the meantime she speaks at high schools and colleges.  She makes this look easy but nothing about this that has been easy.

‘Don’t text for X’.
